Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career.
Responsibilities:
The Restaurant Reservationist is responsible for efficiently managing reservations, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining an organized booking system to ensure a positive dining experience for guests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReservation Management and Knowledge:
Efficiently handle incoming reservation requests via phone, email, or online booking systems.
Maintain an organized reservation system to record guest information and preferences accurately.
Must have complete knowledge of all food and beverage menus:
the ingredients, preparation, how items are served and prices to better assist the guests.
Read the Area and hotel information to know if there are special events happening.
Must have complete knowledge of all Food and beverage offerings and hours of operation.
Customer Service:
Deliver outstanding customer service by accommodating guest preferences, special requests, and inquiries related to reservations.
Assist in resolving guest concerns or issues regarding their dining reservations.
He/she must conduct self in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Using proper verbiage and posture is a must.
Reservation Tracking:
Provide reports on reservation statistics and guest feedback to support restaurant management.
Up-Selling and Promotions:
Encourage guests to explore additional services or experiences offered by the restaurant, such as private dining or catering.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar reservationist or guest services role is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with reservation management software and general computer skills.
Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of the restaurant's menu and special events.
Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
High school education or equivalent.
Relevant experience in a high-quality, high-volume operation.
Minimum of eight (1) year Hospitality experience preferred.
Restaurant experience a plus.
