Summary:
This position is responsible for booking Groups, with or without Events/F&B (10 rooms and more) from the market segments and regions assigned by DOS.
Duties include conducting sites, prospecting, solicitation, offsite client's visits, limited traveling, preparing, and executing action plans, negotiating Rates/Contracts for specific groups and accounts.
In addition, this Manager may also handle FIT/Wholesalers, Corporate Transient and Consortia, as needed.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL AND SUPPORTIVIE FUNCTIONS Responsible for the development of market segments and solicitation of new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships with corporate and social accounts while consistently striving to maximize revenue and promote relationships through effective negotiation of services and prices.
Generate hotel/awareness through direct phone sales, direct sales calls, tradeshows, 3rd party relationships and networking groups.
Create action plans and target accounts lists as required from the assigned market to meet revenue goals.
Capitalize on Mondrian South Beach and Baia Beach Club marketing, sales programs, and resources.
Reporting weekly / monthly on sales activities assigned and solicitation and booking efforts.
Maintain communication with various networking organizations; including but not limited to Chambers of Commerce, Visitors Bureau, and other industry partners in the area.
Become a member and actively work as part of the overall Sales objectives.
Obtain new key-prospect, monthly and maintain / improve the actual hotel database.
Responsible for preparing, presenting and execution of 90-day Action Plan for specific region.
Conduct Site Inspections as requested and maintain internal communication.
Develop networking opportunities through active participation in community and professional associations, sales trips, activities, and events.
Participate in internal and external meetings i.

, group resume, pre-shifts, pre-con and post-con.
Develop and continually enhance relationships with key corporate, business and travel industry accounts to maintain and increase our market share.
Regularly contacting existing accounts base using the Hotel's database and past files.
Directly assist customer as necessary.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
Achieve individual and team goals established.
Contribute to Quarterly Action Plans and Annual Marketing Plan.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales.
Manage, coach and plan effectively to motivate all sales personnel to do the best they can to achieve the departmental as well as the hotel's goals and commercial objectives.
Seek new customers through strategic outbound sales efforts.
Manage own goals and expenses assigned budgets.
Required sales activities will include but not limited to attending tradeshows, network events, outside sales calls, client meetings, and sales trips as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Opera, and other sales related systems.
Ability to operate independently and with a high degree of autonomy requiring excellent time management skills and self-motivation.
Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members.
Read, write, and speak English fluently.
Able to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
Hotel product and industry knowledge.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
This position requires a high degree of independent judgement and discretion on decision making.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Four-year college degree preferred in hospitality.
Requires a minimum of three plus years' experience with a proven sales track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
Proven track record in prospecting and closing new business.
